What appeals to me about great street photography is that unlike the more common type of photo of pretty locations, here you're capturing a moment that is often there in a split second and then it's gone. It never happens in that same way again. It helps to train you to become a better photographer. To spot certains shadows, to anticipate a shot, to look with softer eyes all around you.
